Matt Ringer is the Commercialization Program Manager at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, CO.  He has worked at NREL for more than 10 years.  In his current role, Matt oversees the Energy Innovation Portal, works with EERE on various commercialization initiatives, assists companies interested in commercializing NREL IP, and manages various internal projects for increasing the speed and efficiency of technology transfer. 

Prior to working in Commercialization and Technology Transfer, Matt was a senior chemical engineer in both the Biomass and Hydrogen programs at NREL. On the biomass side, Matt's primary focus was economic and feasibility analyses of biomass to fuel processes.  For hydrogen, Matt was the Delivery analysis principle investigator where he developed an H2A model for determining the costs of transporting and delivering hydrogen to fuel cell vehicles. 

Matt has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego and an MBA from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business.
