Ali Ahmed, Vice Chairman

Ali is a business consultant specializing in helping companies build and deliver energy and sustainability strategies.  He founded Green Strategies LLC in 2016 with a focus on utility cost and risk reduction, revenue creation through strong value propositions for sustainability and energy reduction solutions, and stakeholder engagement strategies.

Prior to founding his own firm, he led Cisco Systems’ sustainability efforts which generated $22M+ in annualized cost savings, halted 10%-20% annual utility cost increases, reduced greenhouse gas emissions 25%, and recovered $1M+ in erroneous utility billing. Through system automation, efficiency gains, deployment of renewable energy sources, and implementation of a high-impact sustainability strategy and information solution, the results earned Cisco numerous awards and recognition as a global sustainability champion.

Earlier in his career, as a Senior Consultant with Deloitte Consulting, Ali spent his time partnering with global clients - with as many 30K+ locations - to measure, define, and implement sustainability and greenhouse gas reduction strategies.  As a Business Development Executive with Novar, a Honeywell Company, Ali aggressively pursued business opportunities to establish energy programs for clients, leading a team in developing and improving the solutions portfolio.  At the foundations of his career, Ali engaged with Rockwell Automation in systems engineering, marketing, and engagement management roles. From propelling sales results to turning around mission-critical projects, to halting rampant losses, he quickly earned a reputation as a change agent, though leader, and solutions-focused partner.

Ali completed his Executive MBA at the Weatherhead School of Management and also earned his Bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University in Physics.
