Amit Kumar Verma

Amit is a Graduate Student in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and has been at Case Western Reserve University since August 2014. Before, he attended the Indian Institute of Science at Bangalore, India, and was working with the Indian Space Research Organization. He received his B. S. in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi, India, and is currently working towards his Ph.D. from CWRU under Professor Jennifer L.W. Carter. Verma's research focuses on materials informatics and its application in metals design. Currently, he holds a ThinkEnergy Fellowship and is working with the Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory to design the next generation of 9-12% Cr steels to be used in turbine rotors and boiler tubes.
