Home › CWRU Wins ARPA-E Award in Storage

Congratulations to Bob Savinell, Jesse Wainwright, and team for their winning project "Iron Flow Battery for Electric Grid-Scale Energy Storage". Case Western Reserve University will develop a water-based, alliron flow battery for grid-scale energy storage at low cost. If successful, this technology would surpass the DOE 2015 cost targets for stationary energy storage and facilitate the adoption and deployment of renewable energy technology.
