Alejandro Aquino

Ale is a fourth-year student with the Department of Mechanical Engineering originally from Asuncion, Paraguay. He is currently working in conjunction with researchers at the University of Michigan under the Summer Research Opportunity Program in the area of Thermal Photovoltaics.  He is a member of the Boundary Laboratories team that developed airfoil drag reducing technology for wind turbines. Ale is expecting to graduate in December 2018, and would like to pursue a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and focus his research in the areas of renewable energy generation or distribution. Outside of school, Alejandro likes to spend time playing sports such as soccer and tennis, watch basketball, and explore new hiking areas.
